Ioan Rees - 

I have been shooting a Compound Bow since I passed my beginners course at 8 yrs old. I started shooting competitions in Field Archery and went on to take many Welsh titles and records. From there I was encouraged to try Target archery and managed to get a UK Record my first competition. Years later I am now a current member of the GB Youth Team having made several international competitions in Target and Field.

The pinnacle so far getting a silver medal in the Mixed Pairs at the World Championships. There have been quite a few medals and records along the way to include British Outdoor/Indoor champion, several other international medals and shooting for my country of Wales which always makes me proud.

I could not have done all this without the support of many people to include Wales Archery Specialists. Hopefully I can continue to reach the top of the sport and wear the Wales Archery shirt on the way!!!
